On a perfect Sydney spring day, there aren’t too many things better than sitting on the deck at Watson’s Bay Hotel and looking at the beautiful Harbour….that is until you try the soft shell crab sliders!!
My friend and I went to the Watson’s Bay Hotel yesterday and shared the sliders and the fish and chips. The fish and chips were definitely good but in no way spectacular – the slides on the other hand – wow!
Each slider had an entire crab in it with its legs peeking out each side of the burger, almost making the soft golden bun it’s tasty body. Contrasting the pillow soft bun, the crab itself was gorgeously crunchy and yet sweet and moist inside. The jalapeno mayonnaise gave the sliders a good kick and topped off what was already an outstanding burger. Although this trio of burgers was meant for sharing I definitely could have had all three for myself! And to be honest, next time I go back I probable will!
